If your life still works on paper, but something in you keeps whispering that it's time for more, I need you to hear this first.
You haven't lost your way. You're finding it.
Nothing is falling apart. From the outside, it all looks like it's working. The home, the kids, the career, the relationship. People look at you and think you have it all together. And still, you know this chapter is over.
Maybe you're the one everyone leans on. The planner, the peacekeeper, the strong one. You keep it all running, and lately you've started to wonder who's holding you.
Maybe you keep ending up in the same kind of relationship with a different face. Maybe you sit in the car in the driveway a few extra minutes before you go inside, just to have one moment that's yours. Maybe you keep telling yourself "next year" about the thing you really want.
If that's where you are right now, you're not broken and you're not behind. You're standing between chapters. The one you've outgrown, and the one your soul has been waiting for.
There's a point in your birth chart that explains this feeling better than anything I've ever read. It explained my whole life to me.
It's called your North Node.
Your North Node and your South Node
Astronomically, your North Node is one of two points where the Moon's orbit crosses the Sun's path. They're the points where eclipses happen. But astrologers read it as something much bigger: the direction your soul is growing toward in this lifetime.
Here's how I like to think of it. Your North Node is the vibrational frequency of your higher self. It's the version of you that you're supposed to be in this lifetime. And it's probably the version you keep running away from, because growth never feels comfortable at first. It feels like your first class at a new studio. Awkward, a little scary, and somehow exactly where you're supposed to be.
I call it your soul's GPS. It doesn't yell at you when you take a wrong turn. It just keeps recalculating, and it keeps pointing the same way.
Directly across from it sits your South Node. Your comfort zone. And I need you to hear this part clearly: your South Node is not your flaws. It's everything you've already mastered, probably in a past life. Your soul has lived that version of you before, which is why it comes so easily now. It's the role you could play in your sleep. The way you always end up taking care of him. The "I'm fine" you say without thinking. The reason everyone calls you the strong one.
And one day you realize it doesn't fit anymore.
You can be amazing at something and still outgrow it. Sometimes the life that feels safest is just the one you've practiced the longest.
That's the whole secret of these two points. Your South Node is where you've been. Your North Node is where you're going. The further you live from it, the more your life feels like it belongs to someone else. The closer you get, the more it feels like yours. That's what alignment is. It's when your outside life stops arguing with your inside life.
My North Node
My North Node is in Aries. My South Node is in Libra.
Libra is the peacekeeper, and that was me for most of my life. Keep the peace. Make everyone happy. Never rock the boat. I was so good at it that it never felt like a choice. Now I understand why. My soul had already been that woman. I was just repeating her.
I got married at 22, before I ever took the time to figure out who I was. I was so good at making everyone else comfortable that I forgot to ask what I wanted. If you've read I Left a Marriage That Looked Good on Paper, you know how that chapter ended.
Aries is the opposite of all of that. Aries goes first. She trusts her gut and chooses herself, even when it makes people uncomfortable. Every big turning point in my life, leaving a marriage that looked good on paper, opening my fitness studio, starting over, was me taking one more step toward my Aries North Node. None of it felt easy. All of it felt right.
Why you're feeling it right now
Every 18 and a half years, the North Node in the sky comes back to the exact spot it was in when you were born. Astrologers call it your nodal return. It happens around 18 or 19, again around 37, and again in your mid-50s.
If your life cracked open in your late thirties, this is why. The old patterns come back up, louder than before, so you can finally choose differently. It isn't a midlife crisis. It's your soul recalculating.
Mine ran from the summer of 2023 into the start of 2025, the exact stretch when I was rebuilding my whole life from scratch. I didn't know it had a name at the time. I just knew I couldn't go back.
Whether you're 34 or 45, you've either just been through yours, you're in it, or it's coming. And right now the North Node is moving through Aquarius, where it stays until March 2028. Aquarius is about friendship, community and the future. So if you've been craving your people lately, women who actually get it, you're not imagining it. The whole sky is pointing that way. (And if that's you, this is your sign to come join us in The Inner Circle. It's exactly what we're building there.)
